Gabi Boy is an author, illustrator, qualified Life Science teacher and self proclaimed food critic. 

In 2020 Gabi took part in the Picture This! illustration competition and was given the opportunity to write and illustrate her own book, called Manie & Rakker. This opened the door for her to work with authors like Jaco Jacobs and Refiloe Moahloli.  

She feels privileged that she is allowed to use her wild imagination daily to add joy to stories. If writing were a cookie, illustrating would be the choc chips and sprinkles. 

Gabi lives in Cape Town with her husband and two daughters, who are also the backseat drivers in all her creative endeavours. She is a lover of Jesus, collector of rainbows and guzzler of smarties.
